Week 4.
Whew, we're almost done with September. Where did summer go?
This weeks challenge is to Pray for faith and courage to meet challenges.
Jake and I have had trials and challenges that come just when we need them. I say that because we learn and grow from what ever trials come our way. Sometimes it is hard to get on my knees and pray at the first sign of frustration or a problem that arises.
Last week the challenge was to accept personal responsibility for spiritual strength, health, education, employment, finances, food, and other life-sustaining necessities.
I did miss my class one night because we were at a wedding. I didn't blame Jake for not taking me or anything like that. I knew that it was my fault that I did miss it, and I knew I couldn't blame it on anyone else but myself.
I have been working on other things as well, and I'm glad that I have taken this challenge and done it this month.

Update
WEEK 1
How are you all doing with the September challenge that I started for this month?
This first week is to Love work and avoid idleness.
It has been really hard to always be doing something. I have been a little sick, and very tired. And I have been working extra this week.
I have been trying to get the paint on our fence so our yard looks good again!
We have made plans for our house, and now I have been a researching girl. For one, I want to make our little bathroom in our bedroom feel a little bigger. (suggestions?)
There has been a little bit of slacking in the house work stuff, but that just something to try to balance.
How have you guys been doing? Are you as exhausted as I am?
Happy Thursday! Thank goodness for a short week!

September Challenge: Week one
Last week I wrote this post about a September Challenge that I was starting for myself, and invited all of you to join in for the month of September and a week after.
For this first week of September the thing to work on is to Learn to love work and avoid idleness.
For me, sometimes this really is a hard thing to do. I started practicing this last week by putting my phone in my drawer at work so it wasn't a temptation for me when things got slow. That I could work on other things when I had nothing to do.
I get off work at 2:30, and it is so easy to come home, fix myself some lunch and plop myself down on the couch and do nothing for the rest of the evening, when I have lists of things that I would like to get done.
So this week, whatever you need to do to keep yourself moving and going, do it. The Lord doesn't want us to be idle. Idle bodes are the devils playground. Make lists, put notes on mirrors, be doing something.
If you need a rest, obviously take a rest.
but organize the closet that you've been wanting to. Fix the holes in the huge stack of jeans for your husband. Dust those places that you've been avoiding for a while. It will make you feel so much better when you know that you have accomplished what you've wanted to in the day.
Plus it will help you sleep better at night.
Take pictures, and share with me at the end of the week how you did!
Happy Labor day, all.
Ready, set, Go!
