There. I said it. I'm exhausted. And I have had so much on my mind that I can't sleep at night. Can someone help me with this??
Here is my small compilation of things that I try to use to help me sleep. Usually it all ends up failing because I think WAYYY too much.
I have this lotion, and it has seemed to help.. ish.
Did you know that using electronics, and watching TV about an hour before bed can hinder the ability to fall asleep!
So put your phone away, turn the tv off, and catch up with your hubby for the day. Read a book, get ready for bed, fold some clothes.
Every now and then I'll drink some of this
I am a firm believer in drinking some herbal tea when you want to fall asleep.
If I am laying in bed, the lights are off, and Jake is hogging the bed, I usually don't want to get out of bed and go sit and watch TV until I'm tired, I like to read.
I learned in high school that if you have dimmer lights, you tend to get sleeper. So I turn down the light settings on my phone and flip to one of my books in my Kindle App.
This was my read this weekend.
I DO NOT recommend reading this book before falling to sleep. I starting reading it and was hooked, and stayed up until 6AM. Nonetheless, it was a very very very very very good book. But I am a huge ginormous fan of Nicholas Sparks books. I have read quite a few of them. Another good thing is that the movies aren't very far off from the books.
**Sorry for that small tangent.
If you have any tips for getting to sleep, what you use, or if you have something that you would like to see on Pinterest wednesday, email me or comment below. I love your feedback!
Happy Wednesday!

I'm sorry that you haven't been able to sleep! I seem to go in cycles with that myself. I do all of those things that you mentioned. I also try to do more hard physical exercise during the day. Being a student and having a primarily sedentary lifestyle it seems to help me out a lot. Hope you can start getting some good sleep soon!

I am so with you on not being able to get to sleep at night, ugh it is not fun. The Doctors had a show on not too long ago that had a bunch of suggestions to help you get to sleep, but I can't remember most of them other than turning off electronics at night, getting fresh air during the day, and having all lights off at night.. Oh and white noise!
ReplyDeleteSafe Haven is such a good book! I read it a couple weeks ago and was hooked!! I'm going to see the movie on Friday :D
