Wahooo!!! I participated in two different Valentines day Swaps. And can I just tell you.. It was so much fun just going to look out in the mail box every day to see if I got a package :)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY ALL!!!!  I am so excited that it is finally here!!! I am so excited to be spending the day with my valentine, even though he's sick. But today I'm linking up with some other ladies to see how well my man knows me :) this was so funny to sit and ask Jake these questions. So funny!!! Here's his answers!

1. How long have you been married?

9 Months in 4 days :)

almost a year

2. where was your first date?

Up Ephraim Canyon, we roasted marshmallows then watched a scary movie.

With you? October 15th. the Mountains.. it was awkward

3. Where was your first kiss?

On his couch at his apartment. It was awkward.

In my apartment at Snow College. It was also awkward.

4. Who first said, "I love you"?

I want to say me, one night when we were talking on the phone when he was in South Dakota

5. What were your wedding colors?

Blue Brown and Tan

Its more of a noise.. Like a bird squawk!

For me, either water or Dr. Pepper and for him Either Pepsi or Mt. Dew

French bread Pizza.. YUM!!!

A Doritos Casserole thing.. gross.

Tickling me!!!!!

Not separating my laundry, Or not listening.

Take all my jewelry off and cuddle in bed.

Well I already got rid of my converse, so I don't think there is anything else :)

Her old sweats, but she already threw them out!

The Forbidden Post

I have been trying to put off this post for a while, because every now and then, Jake will read my blog. But sneakily, and then he won't tell me about it until later. Ugh. Men.

For Christmas, Jake and I went WAY overboard with our presents to each other. Like "WAY" is probably an understatement. We're still paying for it. So we decided to put a price limit on holidays now. For Valentines, we said $20 for gifts. I know that doesn't buy me a sewing machine, or DSLR camera. But I want something that's going to come from Jake's heart. And is meaningful. Or just a bouquet of flowers. (My mother-in-law, Melanie, who is a constant reader of Hansen Love, knows my love for flowers. Just had to do a little shout out! Hi Mel!!!)

Last year Jake took me to my favorite band, Lady Antebellum. They had a concert on valentines day! So sweet! We went to applebee's and then the concert. How can you top that!?
I bought him 5 George Strait CD's and got a candy bar and wrote a reason why I loved him. I snuck them in his truck (with balloons and confetti) in his backpack, on his bed, I was pretty sneaky! :) and with the last CD it had a card, and well he cried. It was touching. I had to do something better this year!!

So, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for Jake. I had seen bloggers all throughout the blogging world posting about Datevitation. So I started looking into it, and decided it was a good idea.

They are little coupon books, that you can personalize that you give your spouse (friend, bf, gf, whoever) and they can use them when ever they want.

I chose to do a Technology-free day, Horseback riding, Drive in movie, Unofficial Anniversary, a trip to Vegas ( we were already planning one for my birthday), and a surprise day.

There are so many options and so many different categories to chose from. I'm sorry I'm telling you about this a little late, but you can also use them for birthdays! :)

So I got him that. and then I saw this on Pinterest.

What she did was print out some of their pictures in Sepia (to give it an old fashion look), Got some balloons, and glued the ribbon in-between the picture and some card stock.

I can't believe that we have been married for almost 9 Months.. It's unreal.

Friday -- and a craft

This week has drug on.

And not, at the same time.

Things we've done this week:

-I became a cripple
-We bought a house
- I went to a forever long meeting about something I have no clue about. But my bank is the best because we got all sorts of treats. Then went to my branch meeting, and got even more treats. My boss is the best.. seriously.
-Laid in bed all day, because it is that dreaded time again! Had a meeting with Jakes aunt about mortgages, and my bank. Getting our loan process started!! Got my hair figured out, and dying it next week (hair dye virgin over here, So i'm excited)
AAANNNNDDD tomorrow, I get to go to work, yay! then go to my fancy pants work party!

On Wednesday night, Jake and I heart attacked our landlords.

Now let me explain a few things. If you have never heart attacked anyone, it is nothing physical. It is simply telling someone they are loved, giving them a treat, and doorbell ditching.

Second, we live in a basement.. in Mapleton. So pretty much we have a pretty good sized apartment. One day before we move out, I'll give you a tour. ANYWAYS. So our landlords are the people upstairs. They have 3 little girls, and a boy on the way. We love to spoil those little girls with treats. All the time. They will bring us our mail, and we give them 2 suckers each. :) They are adorable.

So a while ago, I found this heart attack kit from Skip to my Lou. It was perfect, she has printables for everything, and all you have to do is get a treat.

So thats what I did. I went and used a few coupons at JoAnns for the can, and got a treat!

This is my finished product.

See.. So simple. Just add some ribbon, and wala! you're done!

 On hers, she cut out the hearts all the way, but I just cute a square out around them. One: because I had snickers at the treats. And Two: I was lazy :)

I made this a while ago, and have been waiting at least until it was February. And I figured since they would be gone next week, that we could do it.

So we got tape on the back of the empty hearts to stick on the door, and I grabbed the can of treats. We snuck up... as quietly as we could in frozen snow.

Stuck all the papers on the door, rang the doorbell and ran.

Then we hurry and ran into our bedroom. and looked out the window to watch and listen to the little girls.

They were so happy, and we could hear them run all around the house after that.

It was so fun, just to be able to know that we made them happy :)

Reveal of gift exchange @ Crowley Party
