Last Christmas Post

This is the last Christmas post, I promise. I'm just a month behind :) I just wanted to share our Christmas decorations, for future reference and because I had to show that yes, Jake does get his animals in my house, but that does NOT stop me from decorating them. He loves it!

This is my favorite tree. It has all of the ornaments that Jake got from his aunt throughout his whole life and the ones that we've bought since we've been married. It's quite the memory tree.

Also, my Santa all growing up always put candy canes on the tree when he came. Does your Santa do anything fun and special?

Christmas Day

Christmas Day. The last Christmas Day just as us two!

I want you guys to take advantage of these pictures, because next year, I may not be taking pictures of my DOG like she's my child. I plan on taking pictures of my actual child! It was still fun getting Sky some things that I knew she would love. New toys, tons of treats and of course a new bed!

She llllooooovvveeessss her new bed. She is constantly in it! Glad we made the right choice, such a picky dog!

This year we spent Christmas with my family. It is always so much more fun to see my niece, Kyah, enjoy christmas. And as all children think, the boxes are the best presents!

If you live in Utah then you already know that we got a Christmas miracle. Snow!!!! We woke up Christmas morning and had tons of it. Then when we got home that night we had to play in it! Sky enjoys it more than any human!

Our annual picture of trying to wrangle the beast for a picture!

I cannot wait for next year with our little girl!!!

Christmas bells are ringing

I have caught a couple of bugs this weekend, a cold and also the christmas bug. Since I haven't be able to put my tree up yet (because I'm borrowing jakes uncles artificial one and I just haven't gone to get it yet.) I made a little Christmas decoration to feed my thirst for this holiday season.

Have you put your tree up yet??

Let the planning begin!

WOW!!! Christmas came and went. So fast! how was yours?? Ours was soooo fun! so fun! We both worked right up to Christmas eve. Then went to a party with Jakes mom's side of the family. Where I became a proud owner of a new Coco-Motion! I have used it 50 times already! but really!

Christmas Eve we got our pajama's from his parents then went home, and got in bed! In my family it is tradition that when you wake up in the morning and see the tree, there are candy canes hung on it. Jake never did that so I felt I needed to give him a taste of my families traditions as well.

So I planned on sleeping for a while and waking up and getting things ready then going back to sleep. Well I woke up and got it all done, but I could not fall back to sleep! I guess I was just so excited to see what Jake had got me.

Please excuse the bed hair.

THEN FINALLY! we opened our presents. and my dear sweet Jake got me what I wanted. A Kindle Fire HD. I never came out and said I wanted it but he just knew. What a gem!!! :)
He got to enjoy his new cowboy hat, and snowmobiling coat.

I loved our first christmas together, but honestly, I am kind of excited the holidays are almost over!

speaking of.... DUN DA DA DA!!!!!

It is now time to make our new years resolutions. While I was reading one of my magazines this weekend I found some tips that might actually help us keep our resolutions a little longer this year!

First. Find Your Cue.

You need to train your brain by finding triggers or cues that set it into action. Such as a specific place, a time of day, a person, or a sensory trigger like food or a song.

Second. Set a Reward.

Give yourself a reason to motivate yourself to stick to your goal and routine. Set a reward such as a bubble bath, or an episode of your favorite tv show when you are finished working on your goal for the day.

Third. Go Public.

Let other people know what your doing and continue to update them. Its good to have the extra support from another crowd. Twitter, Facebook, or your blog ;) sometimes you'll have days where you will feel like you want to give up and want to quit, its nice to have some other people there to keep you going!

So go ahead friends. Let make resolutions that really are going to get us some where! Mine are coming later this week! What are some of your resolutions???

Have a good New Year!!!

.:Merry Christmas:.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! I know it's kind of very late, but still want to wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope every one has had an amazing day today, and has been safe, and stuff your face because we'll all be going out in a week and buy a gym pass. Am I right?!

Waking up this morning with my darling husband, I couldn't help but think that we decorated our apartment with this picture perfect for where our tree was set up.
After all, what would Christmas really be without the story of the birth of Christ?

I hope you all took some time today to think about what Christmas really means to you. If it is the importance of religion in your life, family, service, or just praying and being thankful that you made it through another year. Whatever it may be that makes this holiday special to you, I hope you took a second to think about it today!!!!

More on Christmas later. Can't wait to read what you all received! Cause I'm telling you now, my Jake spoiled me!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS.

      Love, Jake and April Hansen

Weekend in a flash. **POW**

WOW! Where did the weekend go!? Holy HANNAH! Well thats okay, I had a very wonderful weekend! We went on a date with Jakes cousin, Logan, and his wifey, Tia. It was a year from their first date, which we happened to be there with them. So it was just right that we all went as a group again! :) soooooo  fun!

Got some yummy Brick Oven. Stuff our little faces and headed up to Salt Lake City to go look at the pretty Christmas lights. If you are not LDS or if you are and have never been, IT IS A MUST! They are so pretty, and amazing that they can put up so many lights, and on every single branch of trees. Its crazy!

And of course, we had to make our way to City Creek.

It was fun! and I love these two. Logie and Tianator are the best ever.

As you can tell in the pictures, it snowed! WHOOOO!!!

and well...

I am paying for it today. I don't know why, but I am.

HARRY THE HONDA BROKE DOWN. At Walmart parking lot...
ugh.

But my Knight in Shining Armor came to my rescue :)

While I was sitting in the snow in nothing but my sweatshirt and my toms.. He fixed my harry. well.... kinda.

I am so glad that I married such a handy man. Oh what would I do without my Mr. Jake.
