When I go grocery shopping

Sometimes my mind is the craziest place! I think the most random things, and then I say them out loud and they sound even crazier!  So don't think I'm too crazy.

I was walking past the break isle and started thinking... how did this become my job? (not that I'm against it) but Jake used to go shopping in college, how did I get the grocery shopping job. And then all the sudden I turned the corner and there she was. A lady was coming at me head on with a little kid in the top basket.

We were playing chicken.

It is like the most competitive thing for women. Who is actually going to move out of the way. You stare at each other until one moves around the other. Needless to say I won.

If I'm in a hurry I am the one who is swerving in and out of people. Be honest, are you the swerver or the one who stays strong and wins the fight?

I told you I'm strange. It's the Thursday effect, I need it to be 5:00 on Friday.

Money money money!

Do you like getting money? Getting a check in the mail is one of my favorite things! and guess what? I have been getting checks in the mail just for shopping online.

Okay, when I saw the commercials on TV for Ebates I always thought.. "whatever! That cant be true!" then I saw another blogger who posted about ebates, and I saw a few people come into the bank with Ebates checks. I was surprised that it actually worked!!!

Actual people were getting paid to shop online. And if anyone knows me, I shop online pretty much every day! So I decided to check it out, bam! It works! You get money back!

My sister shops online about as much as I do, and I keep telling her to use Ebates, because if you are already spending money, you might as well get some of it back!!

If you want to check it out, go Here! seriously, you will be shocked how much you get back!

Just a thought :)

Pinterest Wednesday {shopping}

Food food food. I'm always pinning food when I get on Pinterest. Either food or clothes. Story of my life.

When I go grocery shopping I go straight to my food board. I probably should be using these cook books that I got for our wedding. I will get to those one day. When I'm not so busy.. Yeah right! :)

Anyways, here are a few of my GO TO recipes whenever I'm making my shopping list.

recipe
Haystacks are always a super simple dinner. And really yummy too! My mom mades these all the time growing up, and now I love making them for Jake. To make it a little simpler, she makes her chicken broth from scratch. But I just use cream of chicken soup. Heat it up add some cooked, shredded chicken to it, and bam! Super easy. Top it with whatever your heart desires. For me its cheese, green onions, olives, tomatoes, sunflower seeds, coconut, and frozen peas.

My mom used to always have, chinese noodles, and boiled eggs to put on as well.

I found this French Bread Pizza on Pinterest after Jake and I got married. It looked simple enough so I decided to try it! And we both fell in love with it. Probable me more because it was so easy to make.

A few changes that I have made to making this pizza is, when I turn the oven on, I cut the bread in half and have it toasting while I get all of the toppings ready. Once it is lightly toasted, I top it, and put it in for about 5 minutes.

Toasting it before made it much easier to cut once everything was done!

I have only made these Crunch wrap supremes a few times, I can't think of any tips for you on this. Probably just because, they are super simple! Its pretty much, cook your meat, put in all in the center of a tortilla, wrap it up, spray it with cooking spray and grill it! Yum! It's so yummy and so fast!

Finally, I know that I have shown these deep dish pizza's before, but they are honestly so yummy and so filling. Like.. 2 of these fill me up. And they are so simple! My only little tip for you on this one is be a little careful when putting the tortillas into the muffin tin. They rip really easily!

One last thing, one of my favorite photographers is giving away a few free photoshoots once her Facebook page reached 17,000 likes. Go like her page and become part of the fun :)

The weekend, The shopping, the coupon, and the posting.

Any day after Wednesday, I feel like I need to shout the day of the week.. THURSDAYYYYY!!!!!! almost done with the work week. And who is more excited about this week than me?? No one I tell you! No one. Because, not only did I get last Saturday off of work for our concert, but I also get this week off because the new girl is doing so good she can go in. Happy girl right here.

Bad part. I have to go grocery shopping on Saturday. Worst day ever! Especially at Walmart. Especially Springville Walmart. K people. I'll admit it. In college I would wear my sweats with a pony tail to Wally world, but then I got married to J, and he condones that. And now I am just fine with putting on a pair of jeans and a bra to go buy a (half) gallon of milk.

Speaking of grocery stores, I am beginning to coupon. My sister and her boyfriend have really gotten into it and have saved a lot of money. Such as her last shopping trip. 3 things of eye makeup remover, 2 avocados, 2 lemons, and a big bag of hash browns for $1.40.

That's crazy. One of their other shopping trips they both bought all sorts of stuff that they could use for quite some time. What should've been $40-$50 came out to be $15.

So my amazing sister Ashley, wrote me up a list of how to's, and links, and I'm going to try it out. See if I can save a little dinero.

I'll keep you updated on that!!! and let me know if you have any tips for couponing or even if you just have something to tell me, I accept that as well :)

Happy Thursday.

P.S. I am posting over at All You Need is Love... And a Dog today. Sentimental post about my hero. Go check it out! :)
